How to Reach Us
Reaching Divine Door is a gradual journey into the hills of eastern Nepal.
From Kathmandu or Pokhara
The simplest way is by air.
A short flight brings you to Bhadrapur Airport, followed by a drive through tea gardens and hillside villages (approx 1 hour: 50 km).
We can arrange a pick-up, so the journey continues smoothly from arrival.
From Delhi
Fly to Bagdogra, West Bengal.
From Bagdogra Airport, drive for 30–45 mins to the Nepal border at Kakarbhitta, then continue onwards (for approx 1 hour - 50kms) into the hills.
We can arrange a taxi to meet you at the airport and take you directly to Divine Door.
From Bagdogra
This is the closest access point.
From Bagdogra Airport (near Siliguri, West Bengal), drive for 30–45 mins to the Nepal border at Kakarbhitta, then continue onwards (for approx 1 hour - 50kms) into the hills.
We can arrange a taxi to meet you at the airport and take you directly to Divine Door.
Arrival
The final stretch slows naturally — winding roads, fresh air, and open views.
If helpful, we can support with onward travel, so you can arrive with ease.
The Seasons
Nepal offers a beautiful rhythm of seasons, each with its own character.
October to December
Clear skies, mountain views, and cool, fresh air. A naturally vibrant and popular time to visit.
March to May
Warmer days, rhododendrons in bloom, and a softer light that many guests find especially restful.
June to September
The monsoon brings lush greenery, misty valleys, and a quieter, more inward atmosphere. Travel is still very much possible, though occasionally, rain can affect road conditions. If you're planning to visit during this time, we're happy to guide you on the best way to arrive.
January to February
Clear skies. Sunny days. Cooler and still. With heating, blankets, and fires, winter becomes a deeply peaceful and grounding time to be here.
