Turn silence into celebration. The Beatless Beat — the soundless sound of existence.
17–21 September 2026
Your Facilitator
Nivedano
A prominent professional musician of the 1970s and 80s, Nivedano shared stages with some of the era's most legendary artists — Wayne Shorter, James Brown, Weather Report, and Miles Davis. He lived the full dream of a working musician — and then, having fulfilled it completely, turned his total attention to meditation.
He became a disciple of Sri Chinmoy — where he encountered Carlos Santana and John McLaughlin — and later became Osho's devotee in India. Osho himself called him a Master.
Today, Oshoba is the synthesis of a lifetime: music and meditation as a single, inseparable transmission of joy.

Osho on Nivedano
Nivedano marks the moment when silence explodes into a carnival of sound — the Beatless Beat, the new Zen.
What is Oshoba
Oshoba is the music group created by Osho to bring meditators into the awareness of the here and now. The soundless sound. The Beatless Beat of existence.
This retreat is a living transmission — not a concert, not a class. Through rhythm, movement, and Osho's own meditations, the group becomes a single organism pulsing in the present moment.
The Three Dimensions
01
The drum is not entertainment — it is a device. Each beat breaks old patterns and drops you into the here and now with total intensity. This is Osho's method, made physical.
02
The group becomes a living organism, adapting to the energy of every person in the room. Through the universal language of rhythm, strangers become a tribe.
03
Silence turned visible. Osho said life itself is playfulness — and the carnival is the proof. Don't just witness the joy; become it. Bring your wildness.

What to Expect
You do not need to be a musician. Every Oshoba instrument is chosen so that anyone can find their rhythm — the body knows the beat before the mind does.
Nivedano's Brazilian roots infuse every beat with an irresistible samba energy. This is music as a transmission of joy — a living organism that adapts to the energy of every person in the room.
By the afternoon ensemble, something has shifted. The group is no longer playing music — it is the music.
The Ensemble
Each instrument carries a different quality of attention. You will be guided — but ultimately, the instrument chooses you.
